Las Vegas Airplanes and Chocolate

We spent the last weekend in Las Vegas and saw some pretty cool things, and learn some very important things.

#1 Cool Thing

Nellis Air Base hosted an air show that Parker and Quinntin got to go to. They saw all kinds of new and old planes. Parker was a trooper and didn't even get burned.

#2 Cool Thing

The M&M World shop on the strip was 4 floors of everything chocolate and fun toys in the shapes of the M&M Characters. The kids liked the free 10 minute 3D movie as well as the wall of M&M's in every color possible.

#1 Thing We learned

It is possible to swim out side in Vegas in Novemeber but not for very long especially with a 2 month old, a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

#2 Thing We Learned

The strip is not easy to navigate with two strollers and you do get a lot of looks carting around 3 kids in Vegas.

#3 Thing We Learned

It takes twice as long to get around a casino when you are trying to avoid the slots (the kids wanted to "play") and trying to keep an eye on every child.

All in all it was a lot of fun and we are now home freezing!

Happy Halloween

The last two weeks of october were a blast! We got to go up to SLC and visit the witches at Gardener Village. We played and ate and shopped, the kids especially liked the witch hula-hooping and the witches flying in the air. We seriously used up all their energy they even cuddled up to a witch to take a nap.

The night before Halloween the elementary held a carnival where the kids danced, mixed up vials of sweet treats and even tossed a few rats for a prize. We then went home carved and hammered pumpkins, and ate white ghost cookies to finish off the night.

On Halloween night we spent the evening at the Trunk-or-Treat at thte church and eventhough it was really windy we made a killing in candy!

Parker was the only on to actually go trick-or-treating around the block that night. Kora met a fog machine at her second house and came right home.

Thanks to Nana for our adorable costumes, we definately turned heads, especially our little "stinker" in her skunk costume.

My Sweet Children

Just couldn't help the Kodak moment last night.
I already have it as my wallpaper and I thought I'd share it with all of you.

Quinntin's The Birthday King

Kora Rae wanted Daddy to celebrate his birthday in style so she made him a Crown! She was so excited that he barely got through the door before she dragged him into the front room to put his crown on. He wore it most of the night and he couldn't have been prouder.

Quinntin was well taken care of all day his mom brought him doughnuts and chocolate milk for breakfast, his sister, Tiffany, brought him his favorite Hermie burger for lunch at work, Quinntin got to grill for dinner and we ate cheesecake for desert. Quinntin got to order a new Airplane he's been wanting to model, and a new case for his scriptures. He was SPOILED! That's okay though I think he deserves it. I love you Quinntin. Happy Birthday!

Brynn's Day

We had the priviledge to bless Brynnlee on Sunday and we had a wonderful luncheon afterwards. Thank you to all that were able to come and brought delicious food and goodies. We to those that wanted to and couldn't make it we were thinking about you.

Turning Papa into a Horse

One of Kora's Favorite books is called Alice the Fairy. It's all about a little girl "pretending" to be a fairy. She can't fly very high but she can fly really fast. She's also really good at turning her Daddy into a horse. Well Kora finally got a wand so she's been turning everyone into horses and Papa was the first to be magically changed. Luckily we had a camera nearby to catch the fun magic.

Good thing she changed him back by the end of the night I don't know how long he would have lasted as a horse. :)

One Month and More

So Brynnlee is a little over one month and we are loving our new little addition. She is so content with life (except when mom eats chocolate). Parker and Kora continue to help out and constantly want her to look at them, and to hold her and to show off for her. Today Parker wanted to hold Brynnlee and once I got them situated he looked at me and said " Mom now take a picture." Here are a few of our fun family pictures of the last month.

Arghh. . . Parker be 4

We had a blast last week with Captain Parker's Birthday party. Parker had been waiting for this party since June. He even got to create a count down the week after Brynnlee was born so he wouldn't drive everyone crazy with "Today my party, Mom?" The day started off with "4" shaped pancakes for Parker and a lots of getting things set up.

We made pirate flags, played toss the cannon ball (hot potato), sail yer boat to the treasure (Pin the tail on the donkey), and Pirate Pirate Captain (Duck Duck Goose),

Nana made an amazing treasure chest cake and we even hunted for treasure around the house.

The kids seemed to be having a good time and Parker even talks about what he wants for his next Pirate Birthday. All in all it was fun to get thing ready and I'm a little glad it's over. :)

Settling In

I had a little fun while our new little angel slept.
(Which when she sleeps it's very hard to wake her.) Here are a couple of my favorites.

The little lip curl is becoming one of my favorite faces.

Brynnlee doesn't like wide open spaces so when she is put on her stomache or back she curls up as best she can and hangs out until someone moves her again. Did I mention she's a very quiet and content baby?

Daddy having some quality time with Brynnlee. On the top, can you find her? She's in pink elephant camo. On the bottom, Quinntin is trying to wake her up so I could feed her. He was singing all the songs with hand movements he could think of.

Nana right before she had to go home.
4 Generations (Great Grandma Smith, Daddy, Brynnlee & Grandma Gray)
Uncle Dayne was SO excited to hold her.
