Pretty Pretty Princess

Kora is growing in leaps and bounds. I am so surprised at how girly she can be.
Everytime I turn around she is putting on something frilly and fluffy. She is definately bringing out the girl in her mommy.

Parker's Room

The first room to be officially decorated and designed and put together is Parker's room. We painted a beautiful Navy Blue on the top of the wall and Quinntin put up Beaded Board Wainscoting around the bottom. Although Parker's Room is the smallest room in the house I think I like it the best so far. Because there was a perfectly good fan in the room we just pulled it down, took it completely apart, and spray painted the awful shiny gold a nickel satin.

Then I painted the blades a bright fun red that Parker loves to watch spin in circles. Everything just seemed to work out in the room. YAY one down, three more to go.

Navajo Lake

We got out last week to enjoy the mountains and headed to the nearest lake. Since they are kids the first thing they did was throw rocks!!! A lot of rocks! It was a nice afternoon of water, lunch and a beautiful drive.

Making This House A Home

It's been quite a journey to get from West Valley to Cedar City but we did it. I am about 2/3 of the way through the boxes and we're getting down to the "do we really need this stuff?" boxes.

Here is our new house the day it was officially ours.

Don't look too closely, the house needed a little tender loving care.

Here's the view from our front window, it's the elementary Parker and Kora will attend.

When we bought the house it was blue shag on the floors from the dining table to the bedrooms and pink walls everywhere else. The kitchen had tile that was cracked from foundation settling and lovely Sapphire blue counter tops. Eventhough it was only 7 years old they decorated like it was the mid 80's.
After the new kitchen floor was laid and extended, so we didn't have to eat at the table over carpet. We painted. We painted so much I don't think I'll be able to get Quinntin to touch a paint brush for at least a few years.

Parker and Kora's rooms

Above the kitchen cabinets doing some touch-ups.

The green wall in the family room and kitchen and the computer/scrapbooking room.

We finally got carpet!! The kids spent all night racing and rolling around on the carpet. They were very excited they didn't have to watch out for carpet tacks on the floor or wear shoes in the house.

They were so excited they just had to dance!!!

That's all the pictures I have for now. When I feel like we're finally put together I'll take more pictures and post the finished rooms.

Moving Maddness!!!!

If it seems like you have no idea what's going on in our life, you aren't the only one. The last two months were a mess. After finding a new house, renting an old house, living in two different cities, living with our parents again, tearing out broken tile, putting in laminate floors, tearing out navy blue shag carpet, painting over every inch of the new pink house, living without carpet, getting nice new soft carpet and now moving everything inside the house from the garage we are officially living in Cedar City. I love it!!
Thanks to all those who helped us along the path to here! (Especially you Mom!)
Give me a few more days and I'll have found the right cords to download the before and after pictures I have.Until then have a great day.
