Camera Fun

I was playing around with my camera the other day. I never imagined that my back yard had some good places to take pictures. I just thought I'd share a few.

Oops!

Last Friday the 22nd of August Parker decided to have a new experience. He fell out of the Explorer and broke his wrist. For now Parker gets to wear a soft cast but on Thursday he'll get to see the doctor and maybe get a hard cast. Unfortunately he broke it at the growth plate so we have to keep an eye on that. For now Parker is back to his old self with a few extra frustrations, like Sign Language.

Ward Camp Out

On Friday night we decided to be daring and go spend a night at the Ward Campout. Daring because we don't have a tent and Kora still wakes up at least 2 times a night to eat and we'd be sleeping in our Exploring in the back. We failed to realize that it's still a hard surface and there are a few holes when the seat lay down. All in all we had a surprisingly decent night. Parker as usual woke up before the sunrise. (He'll never need an alarm clock, he's up at 6 am regardless.)

Parker learned the joy of a nice warm fire and well, Kora didn't want to miss out on her beauty sleep.

We had a nice simple camping trip with just the basics. Parker was in the height of his existance with all the dirt EVERYWHERE. I don't think we were there 5 minutes before his face was covered in dirt and anything else that would stick.

Big Brother Little Sister

It's amazing that eventhough they are so young my little ones are always next to each other. I'm always turning around and there's Parker cuddling up to Kora or Kora is staring at her brother like he's the coolest person in the world. Parker hates it when Kora cries and Kora always giggles and smiles at her brother's antics. It's not an every day thing, they are still siblings, but I can't help but hope that this keeps up and strengthens. I mean I see the possibiliy of a great friendship. I mean doesn't everyone deserve a brother that watches out for you and a little sister than makes you giggle.

Parker Expresses Himself

Lately Parker has been exploring all the different artistic venues, this day was the scrapbook table and the shiney stickers he could get his hands on. Parker got tired of covering the plain white paper and went down the abstract route. (yes that's a hair bow in his hair, he found his sisters hair supplies)
