A Unique Bath Time

Yesterday I was giving my children a bath, it sounds simple and uneventful right?! Well not so, let me explain:
Parker learned that if you squat and then push backwards you slide across the tub. He only has half a tub since I usually bathe the children together. The first and second time was a blast but the third time he hit the back of the tub harder than either of us would have wanted and I think he hit his tailbone. Well, he actually recovered pretty quickly, not wanting to have to get out of the tub. But before he felt completely better he leaned over pointed his tush in my direction and asked "Mom, kiss." I couldn't bring myself to do it so he got a kiss blown in that direction. ( Oh, the power of a Mommy kiss)
Next I was sitting next to the tub playing back and forth between Kora and Parker. I had my attention on Kora because she was in distress and I couldn't figure out what was wrong, while Parker was minding his own business with the water cup I use to rinse the kids off. Then I hear Parker say, "ball drop." I was confused because there isn't a water toy, that is in any way, shaped like a ball in the bathtub. I look at Parker trying to pull a brown "ball" he had dropped in out of the cup.

Then It All Becomes Clear.
Kora felt better and Parker "found" the cause. That's all the detail I can give without dry heaving onto the computer. Needless to say we vacated the tub pretty quickly, bleach cleaned the toys and tub and had to have another bath.
Oh the joys of Bath Time.

Kora's 1st Birthday!!

My baby girl is growing up way too fast. We celebrated Kora's birthday with cake and presents, family and fun. It was a little over whelming for Kora with so much paper to play with, not to mention the toys, and the noise.

Elmo's mouth had a lot of food dye in it, can you tell?

I wanted to show off her cake, Elmo was quite interesting to make especially since I was to do a lot of it. My mom usually makes the kids cakes but because of her hand surgery she had to pass the mantle. I am a little proud of how it turned out. Kora loved it so much she wouldn't even touch it. I had to feed her one of the cupcakes to try and get her going but it didn't work. We even told her to give Elmo loves and she blew it a kiss.

HEAR, SEE and SPEAK no evil (at the table)

We were taking pictures of Kora and Parker just wanted to have his turn so he went along with this series of pictures, just for fun.

Hands on Meal

Here's a little mess to enjoy, Kora really loves Goulash.

Valentines Sugar Rush

Valentines was spent this year in Parowan, Utah with Grandma and Grandpa Gray. We decorated delicious heart cookies with all the goodies you could fit on top. The grownups always go a little over the top with who decorated the best or who had the most details but all and all it's just good old fashion sibling rivalry. We had tons of fun with couins and lots of balloons!! Thanks to all who made our "many" yummy cookies.
